ONLY start or resume on Start > Apparel > Caches.
NEVER start on character selection, loading screens, or other menus.
The app holds X and taps Space. On the wrong screen, these inputs
can trigger destructive actions, INCLUDING DELETING YOUR CHARACTER.
Pause or Stop BEFORE leaving Caches, logging out, or changing characters.
The app CANNOT identify the in-game screen. Returning focus to the
game can automatically resume input. A warning is not screen detection.
Manual Start/Resume requires confirmation; No is selected by default.

APPAREL CACHE CONTROLLER - VERSION 1.18

Portable Windows app with optional updates through Cloudflare R2.

Close other controller copies before opening ApparelCacheController.exe.
No installation or Cloudflare account is needed for people using the app.
The Division 2 must remain focused while opening caches.
F12 starts, pauses, or resumes. Stop releases input and resets the controller.
Switching away automatically pauses; returning resumes after 0.5 seconds.

HOW TO USE
1. Open ApparelCacheController.exe.
2. In The Division 2, go to Start > Apparel > Caches.
3. Click Start in the controller app.
4. Click back into The Division 2 window before the countdown ends.
5. Leave the game focused while it opens caches.
Press F12 or click Pause to pause; click Stop when finished.

UPDATES
The app checks the update server at startup without blocking its window.
Click Check for updates to check again.
When an update is available, choose Yes to download, verify, and restart.
Pause or stop the controller before updating.
Your timing settings stay beside the EXE and are preserved.
The previous EXE is retained as ApparelCacheController.exe.previous.
If offline or the update server is unavailable, you can continue using the app.
Keep the app in a folder you can write to, such as a folder under Documents.

People using any GitHub-based build must download this R2 build manually once, even if already using v1.18.
Do not replace an existing settings file if you want to keep its timings.

Version 1.17 fixes updates reopening the app hidden. It also recovers visibility when launched by the older v1.15/v1.16 updater.
